| HISTORY: This is a 3 year old gelding with a 3 week old wound. The wound had been previously cleansed with betadine solution and shown no signs of healing. TREATMENT: Lacerum(tm): After the first treatment the wound improved immediately. By day 3, epithelialization had begun but a purulent abscess developed. X-rays did not reveal a foreign body. The abscess was filled with the gel. The infection resolved and the abscess healed. Total number of treatments 4. Treatment 9-29-2000 through 10-10-2000 |
